Privacy Policy
Effective September 11, 20261. Scope
This policy explains how cheatscanner.org, operated by Kumt and Waveir, handles information when you use the JAR scanning Service.
2. Information submitted
When you scan a file, we process the JAR file itself, its filename and size, detected findings, risk score, safety score, and submission time.
Our hosting providers may also process ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser headers, and security logs.
3. How files are handled
The initial heuristic analysis occurs in your browser. After the scan, the JAR and report are sent through our server to a private Discord channel, where our team can view the report and download the JAR.
Do not upload confidential files or files you are not authorized to share.
4. Why we process information
We process submissions to provide scan results, review suspicious JAR files, improve detection methods, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the Service, and maintain security.
5. Consent
The scanner states, before you choose a file, that the JAR and its results are uploaded to a private Discord channel our team can access, and that scanning a file constitutes agreement to the Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not submit a file.
6. Retention and deletion
Submitted files and reports may remain in the private Discord channel until they are manually deleted. Discord may retain data under its own policies, including backups or security records outside our direct control.
To request deletion, contact Kumt and Waveir through the official cheatscanner.org Discord community and provide enough information to identify the submission.
7. Sharing and service providers
We share submitted files and reports with Discord for hosting and team review. Infrastructure providers may process technical data needed to deliver and secure the Service. We do not sell submitted files or personal information.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including a server-side webhook secret and same-origin request checks. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and unknown JAR files may contain harmful code.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit personal information belonging to a child.
10. Your choices
You may choose not to submit a file. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access to or deletion of personal information associated with a submission.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service changes. The effective date below will be revised when changes take effect. Questions and privacy requests can be submitted through the official cheatscanner.org Discord community.
